Tour itinerary
Join us for an unhurried tour of The Channel and Huon Valley region that includes gourmet food and tastings,
and interesting stops at out of the way places, as well as local icons.
We will visit beautiful regional locations including:
BATTERY POINT & SALAMANCA
We drive through the historic Salamanca Place and Battery Point and then follow the “Princess Mary route” – including beautiful views of the Derwent Estuary and some points of interest about our Tasmanian Princess (now Queen of Denmark).
MORNING TEA AT THE BEACH HOUSE
Next, we head to The Beach House at Blackman’s Bay for a delicious morning tea and a stroll on the beach if desired.
CHANNEL MUSEUM VISIT
After a delicious morning tea, we head to the Channel Museum for a trip down memory lane, with its remarkable displays of local heritage and history. You don’t have to be a museum fan to appreciate this gem of a place – there’s something for everyone.
CATHEDRAL ROCK VINEYARD
Cathedral Rock Vineyard is set in beautiful vineyards and a rural landscape. Enjoy a beautifully
presented, friendly wine tasting, along with delicious chutneys and relishes to taste.
HONEY TASTING AT THE HONEY POT
The local, family-owned Honey Pot has extensive tasting choices, as well as samples of all things
honey, including gifts, a huge variety of honey, and also a live indoor beehive.
LUNCH AT WILLIE SMITH’S
Lunch is a gourmet platter at the renowned Willie Smith’s Apple Shed, where you have the option to taste fresh organic cider and other gourmet beverages (drinks not included with lunch).
PANORAMIC VIEW & 4PM DROP OFF
We travel back to Hobart, via a final stop at the summit of Mt Nelson, with its signal station and panoramic views of Hobart and Storm Bay.
